displacement from A to B = r +r
= 2r

distance covered from A to B =
1/2 × 2 π r
= πr
or 22r/7

DISPLACEMENT WILL BE 2r .
Since displacement is the shortest distance therefore it will travel a straight line which is double of radius.
DISTANCE WILL BE πr
Since body will travel in the circumference of semi circle which is 2πr/2=πr
