Answer:

2 a s = v2^2 - v1^2      fundamental equation for rectilinear motion

a = (v2 - v1) / t         acceleration of particle

2 * (v2 - v1) / t)  * 5 = v2^2 - v1^2

5 = v2 + v1      substitute for t and divide both sides by (v2 - v1)

5 = v1 + 2 + v1

v1 = 1.5 so v2 = 3.5
