A particle starts from rest and moves with a constant
acceleration along a straight path to attain 64 m s-1 in
ts. If at t = (t + 3)s the speed is 76 m s-1, then find
the acceleration of the particle and t

Answer:

4 m/s²

Explanation:

Here we should find acceleration by unitary method.

64 m/s = t seconds

76 m/s = (t + 3) seconds

By cross multiplication we get,

64 (t + 3) = 76 × t

64t + 192 = 76t

- 12t = - 192

12t = 192

t = 192/12

t = 16 seconds

At 64 m/s ,

Time is 16 seconds

At 76 m/s,

Time = (t + 3) = 19 seconds

Now we should consider the second case and not the first case because they are asking in (t + 3) case.

Acceleration = V - U/T

= 76 - 0/19

= 76/19

= 4 m/
