Given u = 0

✒Distance travelled in 10 s,

S1 =  \frac{1}{2a} x 10²

= 50a

✒Distance travelled in 20 s,

S2 =  \frac{1}{2a} x 20²

= 200a

then S2 = 4S1✓

Explanation:

Body starts from the rest

so initial velocity U = 0 m/sec

Particle is moving in a straight line with constant force

Distance covered

S = ut + 1/2 at²

S = 0×t + 1/2 at²

S = 1/2 at²

S1 in first 10 seconds = t

S1 = 1/2 × a ×10²

S1 = 50a

S2 = 1/2 × a × 20²

S2 = 200a

So now S1/S2

S1/S2 = 50a/200a

S1/S2 = 1/4

S2 = 4S1
