A particle starts with initial velocity 2 metre per second along the positive X direction and accelerates uniformly at the rate of 0.4 metre per second square how much time does it take to reach the velocity 0.9 metre per second square

4

u = 2

a = 0.4

v = 9

since it is accelerating, velocity must increase, so final velocity is 9.

Using the first equation of motion.

v = u + at

9 = 2 + 0.4t

7/0.4 = t

t = 70/4 = 17.5 seconds

ektasharmagiit: It's 0.9
snehaa2830: acceleration?
