As we know A Time period (denoted by 'T' ) is the time needed for one complete oscillation.
20 oscillations take 40 seconds.
1 oscillations take (40/20) = 2 seconds.
Therefor time period is 2 seconds.
Frequency is inverse of time period i.e. 1/2 = 0.5

Given:
20 oscillations are made in 40 seconds
10 oscillations are made in 20 seconds
oscillations are made in 2 seconds
Therefore Time period=2 seconds
Frequency=1/T
n=1/2=0.5 Hertz
20 oscillations are made in 40 seconds
10 oscillations are made in 20 seconds
oscillations are made in 2 seconds
Therefore Time period=2 seconds
Frequency=1/T
n=1/2=0.5 Hertz
