Let the distance be x

time be t1 and t2 respectively

now , we know that velocity = displacement/ time

in travel A to M

8m/s = x / t1

t1 = x/8 sec

in travel M to A

2 m/s = x/t2

=> t2 = x/2 sec .

now total distance = x+x = 2x m

total time taken = (x/8 )+(x/2)

= 5x/8 s

total speed = 2x ÷ 5x/8

=( 2x×8)/5x

= 3.2 m/s

average velocity = 0

because displacement is 0

( initial and final point is same )
