A particle was at rest from 1 a.m. It moved at a uniform speed 50km/hr from 1.30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Find the average speed between
(a)1.00 a.m. and 2.00 a.m.
(b)1.15 a.m. and 2.00 a.m.

\Huge{\textbf{\textsf{{\purple{Ans}}{\pink{wer}}{\color{}{:}}}}}

time when the particle was at the rest = 1 AM

uniform speed of 50 km/h = 1:30 am to 2:00 am

a)distance covered between 1:30 & 2:00 am= speed * time= 50 *1/2=25km

average speed = total distance/total time taken

= 25/1 = 25km/h

b)average speed = 25/(3/4) =33km/h

  • c)average speed=25/(1/2)=50km/h
