x = ut + 1/2an^2 - equations 1

so in n - 1 sec distance traveled let be y

y = ut + 1/2 a (n-1)^2 - equation 2

so distance travelled in nth sec = y - x = equation 1 - equation 2

on solving the equation you will get

S nth = u + 1/2 a(2n - 1)
