Let the cost of ticket from Ahmedabad to Nadiad be : Rs x
And the cost of ticket from Ahmedabad to Vadodara be : Rs y
By 2nd statement we get :
x + y = 130 ................ (1)
By 1st statement we get
5x + 10y = 1050 ............... (2)
Equate both statements for one variable, we will equate x by multiplying (1) by 5 we get
5x + 5y = 650
Sub (2) by above derived equation
(5x - 5x) + (5y - 10y) = (650 - 1050)
-5y = - 400
5y = 400
y = 400 / 5
y = 80
Therefore, the cost of ticket from Ahmedabad to Vadodara is Rs 80
Now substitute this y value in (1), we get
x + 80 = 130
x = 130 - 80
x = 50
Therefore, the cost of ticket from Ahmedabad to Nadiad is Rs 50
And the cost of ticket from Ahmedabad to Vadodara be : Rs y
By 2nd statement we get :
x + y = 130 ................ (1)
By 1st statement we get
5x + 10y = 1050 ............... (2)
Equate both statements for one variable, we will equate x by multiplying (1) by 5 we get
5x + 5y = 650
Sub (2) by above derived equation
(5x - 5x) + (5y - 10y) = (650 - 1050)
-5y = - 400
5y = 400
y = 400 / 5
y = 80
Therefore, the cost of ticket from Ahmedabad to Vadodara is Rs 80
Now substitute this y value in (1), we get
x + 80 = 130
x = 130 - 80
x = 50
Therefore, the cost of ticket from Ahmedabad to Nadiad is Rs 50
