to find this we need to subtract the area of plot from area of plot with the path.

area of plot = Length × breadth = 30 × 20

                                                    = 600

length of plot with the path = 30+1.5+1.5 = 33

similarly breadth of plot with the path = 20+1.5+1.5 =23

area of bigger rectangle = 33×23 = 759

area of path = 759-600 = 159m²

cost for paving = 12×159= Rs 1908
