A path 1 metre wide is built around the border and inside a Square Garden of side 30 M find the area of the path?

Side of square = 30 m
Area of the square = side x side
= 30 m x 30 m
= 900 m square

Length of the path = 30 m - 1 m - 1 m
= 28 m
So, area = side x side
= 28 m x 28 m
= 784 m square

So, area of path = 900 m square - 784 m square
= 116 m square
