Area of the square garden=s×s
side =30m
area =30m ×30m
=900m^2
area of the inner square garden=
one side=30m-4m(after building the path)
side =26m
area=26m×26m
=676m^2
area of the path=
(area of outer square garden)-(area of inner square garden)
=900-676
=224m^2
therefore, area of path =224m^2

Answer:

area of the path = 224m²

cost of planting grass = Rs 13520

Step-by-step explanation:

length of the square garden = 30 m

area of the garden = 30*30 = 900 m²

a path 2 m wide is built along the border, inside of the garden

so length of the inner side = 30 - 4 = 26m²

area of the inner part of the garden = 26*26 = 676m²

area of the path = 900 - 676 = 224m²

per sq.m it costs Rs 20 to plant grass in the remaining portion of the garden

total cost of planting grass inside the garden = 676*20 = 13520

therefore it costs Rs 13520 to plant grass in the remaining portion of the garden
