Given:

-Width of the path = 5m

-Side of the square park = 100m

To Find:

Area of the path surrounding the square park

Solution:

The area of the path can be found by subtracting the area of the inner square from the area of the outer square.

Area of outer square = (Side)^2 = 100^2 = 10,000 sq.m

Area of inner square = (Side of inner square)^2 = (100-2*5)^2 = 90^2 = 8,100 sq.m

Area of path = Area of outer square - Area of inner square

= 10,000 - 8,100

= 1,900 sq.m

Therefore, the area of the path surrounding the square park is 1,900 square meters.
