A path is 2.5 m wide is running around a square field whose side is 45m. Determine the area of the path.

Answer:

Area of inner square = 45*45 = 2025sq.m

Area of outer square = 50*50 = 2500sq.m

Area of path = Area of outer square - Area of inner square

Area of path = 2500 - 2025

Area of path = 475sq.m
