your solution is below

according to the question, a 2.5m wide path runs around inside a rectangular field.

given the Length of the rectangular field = 30m

breadth of the rectangular field = 27m

area of the rectangular field = l × b

= 30 × 27

= 810m²

Length of the path parallel to the Length of the field = 30 - ( 2.5 + 2.5 )

= 30 - 5

= 25m

length of the path parallel to the breadth of the field = 27 - ( 2.5 + 2.5 )

= 27 - 5

= 22m

area of the field excluding the path = l × b

= 25 × 22

= 550m²

therefore area of the path = 810 - 550

= 260m²
