Answer:
Let ABCD be the rectangular field and let EFGH be the inside boundry of the path.
Then, AB = 40m and AD = 30m
width of the path is 5m
EF = (40 - 2× 5)m = 30m
EH = (30- 2 × 5)m = 20m
Area of the path= Area (rect. ABCD) - Area (EFGH)
= (AB × AD) - (EF × EH) = (40 × 30)m² - (30×20)m²
= (1200 - 600)m² = 600m²
✅ hence the area of the path is 600m².
hope it helps you ⛄
