Answer:

Given :-

Width of path = 2m

Side of Square = 30m

Area of Square = Side × Side

=> 30×30 = 900m²

Side of Square including width

=> ( 30 + 2 + 2 ) = 34m

Area = 34×34 = 1,156m²

Area of path = (Area of Square including width - Area of Square)

=> 1156m - 900m

=> 256m²

Hope it helps you✞✞

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

one side of a square = 30 m

area of the square without path is 30^2 = 900 m^2

if a path of width 2m runs around the square garden then with path each side of the square is 30+(2×2) = 34 m

then with path square of the square is 34^2 = 1156 m^2

then area of the path = area of the square with path - area of the square without the path

⇒ area of the path = 1156 - 900 = 256 m^2

therefore area of the path is 256 m^2
