Length of rectangular garden = 8.5 m and breadth of rectangular garden = 6 m

Outer length of rectangular garden with path = 8.5 + 2 + 2 = 12.5 m

6 + 2 + 2 = 10 m

Outer area of rectangular garden with path = length x breadth = 12.5 x 10 = 125 m^2

Inner area of garden without path = length x breadth = 8.5 x 6 = 51 m^2

Now Area of path = Area of garden with path – Area of garden without path

= 125 – 51 = 74 m^2

cost of cementing the pathway at 25 per square metre = 74×25= ₹1850 Answer
