A pedestal in the shape of a frustum was constructed for a statue. The top was a 4 ft by 6 ft rectangle while the bottom was a 12 ft by 16 ft rectangle. The centre of the top face of the pedestal was directly above the centre of the base of the pedestal and each edge of the top face was parallel to the corresponding edge of the base. The height of the pedestal was 6 ft. Consider a horizontal plane one foot below the top face. It cuts the pedestal in a rectangle. What is the area of this rectangle, in square feet?
