A peeled egg when dipped in water swells while saturated brine solution it shrink ,explain.​

It swells because of the water is hypotonic solution. The water has less concentration of water than that in the cell so the water moves into the cell of peeled egg and therefore it swells. It shrinks in brine solution because the solution has more concentration of water than in the cell so the water comes out of the cell.
