let's take cost of 1 pencil= x
according to question .
cost of 1 pen = 8x
then......it's given that
5x + 2(8x) = 126
5x + 16x = 126
21x = 126
x = 6
so cost of 1 pencil = 6₹
and cost of 1 pen = 6×8 = 48₹
