A pencil sharped at both ends can be used as a conductor in Laboratories . why?

As pencil is made up of graphite.
And graphite is a best conductor of electricity..
That's why it is used in laboratory as conductors..

A pencil has graphite in between the wood. Sharpening it at both ends will expose the graphite which can be used in laboratories as a conductor..
