a pencil when dipped in water appears to be bent at the interface of air and water will the pencil appear to be Bent to the same extent when dipped in some other liquid like kerosene turpentine oil give reason for your answer​

ANSWER -- No the pencil will not be appear to be bent to the same extent when dipped in some other liquids like kerosene or turpentine oil.

REASON -- When the pencil is dipped in water it appears to be bent because the speed of light changes ( decreases ) in water but when the same pencil will be dipped in some other liquids like kerosene or turpentine oil it will not bent same as it bent in water because speed of light is not the same and it varies from medium to medium so speed of light changes in other liquids and the pencil will appear more or less bent in other liquids.
