We know that the force of gravity decreases when we move away from centre of earth.
Therefore at hillstation the value of g is less.
Now, the time period of oscillation of pendulum clock is 2π√(l/g).
therefore time period is inversely proportional to the gravity and due to the low value of g at hill station the time period gets increased and hence the clock gets slower.
