Given : a pendulum goes from one extreme position A to another extreme position B and then again back to position B in 2 seconds.

To Find :  frequency

Solution:

frequency = 1/ Time period

time period of the pendulum is to and fro time from one extreme position to other extreme position

Hence  Time period = 2 seconds

=> frequency = 1/2  Hz

frequency    is  number of cycles  per second

a pendulum goes from one extreme position A to another extreme position B and then again back to position B in 2 seconds.

Hence pendulum completes one cycle in 2 seconds

Hence number of cycles in 1 second =  1/2

Frequency of pendulum = 1/2  Hz
