Given :-

Mass of pendulum = m.

Acceleration = a.

From Inertial Frame of Reference.

T CosØ = mg ------(1)

T SinØ = ma -------(2)

Dividing (2)/(1).

T SinØ = ma

___________

T CosØ = mg

TanØ = a/g

Ø = Tan-¹(a/g)

Hence,

Angle to keep in equilibrium = Ø = Tan-¹(a/g).
