A pendulum oscillates 40 times in 4 seconds. Calculate its (i) time period and

(ii) frequency. Can we hear the sound produced by the oscillation of this pendulum? Give

reason for your answer.​

No of Oscillations (O) = 40

time(t) = 4 seconds

ii) Freequency = \frac{O}{t} = \frac{40}{4} = 10 Hz

i)Time Period (T) = \frac{1}{f} = \frac{1}{10} = 0.1 seconds

No; The frequency of vibrations produced by a pendulum does not fall under the human ear's audible range, so we do not hear the sound produced due to these vibrations.
