Time period and Frequency of the pendulum

Solution :

The time period of oscillation is defined as the time taken to complete one such oscillation.

Time taken by the pendulum to oscillate 50 times = 5 sec

Time taken by the pendulum to oscillate 1 time = \frac{5}{50} sec

                                                                              = 0.1 sec

Therefore, the time period of the pendulum is 0.1 sec.

Now, Frequency = \frac{1}{Time Period}

                            = \frac{1}{0.1}

                            = 10 Hz

Therefore, the frequency of the pendulum is 10 Hz.
