A pendulum osscilates 40 times in 4 seconds. Find its time period and frequency.

Time Period is defined as the time taken by the bob of a pendulum to complete one oscillation.

Time Period = Number of oscillations in one second

⇒ Number of oscillations = 40

⇒ Number of seconds = 4

⇒ Time Period = 40 / 4 = 10 oscillations per second.

⇒ One oscillation = 1 / 10 = 0.1 second

Now, Frequency = 1 / Time period

⇒ Frequency = 1 / 0.1 = 10 Hz

Hence Frequency of the pendulum is 10 Hz and Time Period of the Bob is 0.1 seconds
