Time period = Time taken for one oscillation

For 40 oscillations time taken is 1 minute
Then, for 1 oscillation time taken is 1/40 = 0.025 minutes

Time period of oscillation is 0.025 minutes
= 0.025 minutes × 60 seconds/minute
= 1.5 seconds

Time period is 1.5 seconds

raghavjindalrocks1: its wrong
raghavjindalrocks1: time period = 1/ frequency
JunaidMirza: Yes. 1/frequency = 1/40 minutes = 0.025 minutes = 1.5 seconds
raghavjindalrocks1: frequency=no.of ossilation per second
JunaidMirza: Ok. If you want in seconds then...., If No. of oscillations in 60 seconds is 40 then no. of oscillations in 1 second will be 40/60 = 2/3 (here you did mistake). Correct it.
JunaidMirza: T = 1/f = 1/(2/3) = 3/2 = 1.5 seconds
raghavjindalrocks1: 1/0.6666.... is absolute value approx.1.5
JunaidMirza: Oh! Yes, you’re correct. It will be better if you write this approximate value in your answer.
