yes because of his old age he could not justify between what was false and what true, because in old age people get sick of there life and wants some peace and their mind just wants peace as a result the mind thinks something else and the person who is taking the decision thinks something else and that's what makes the person no longer distinguished between what was false and what true and they want the only same thing for them selves that they want so if they don't get it they become irritable. like for ex King Lear told Cordelia to tell something about him but Cordelia told in a cold manner or we can say she didn't tell that she loves her father more than anyone so King Lear became angry as King Lear wanted that cordelia tell something more about him.
