Explanation:

A farmer has 100 Ha of land which is barren, a farmer has 0.1 Ha of land having 500 sheep, a farmers has 10 Ha of land as well as 100 cattle....... Likewise there can be infinite number of types of farmers. But while classifying the farmers, we take land as the basic unit, not its productivity and not its dependence on other allied agricultural activities like animal husbandry, fishery, etc. So, how the classification of a farmer can be done in order to accommodate all this issue which will help in policy makers, government as well as researchers?
