A person bends a piece of wire to make a square with a side of 12 cm . if from the same piece of wire ,he makes a rectangle with a width of 6cm what is the length of the rectangle
Answers
Answer :-
given that,
→ side of square = 12 cm.
so,
→ Perimeter of square = 4 * side = 4 * 12 = 48 cm = Length of wire .
now, given that, the same piece of wire ,he makes a rectangle with a width of 6cm .
Let us assume that, length of rectangle is L cm .
A/q,
→ Perimeter of rectangle = Length of wire .
→ 2(L + B) = 48
→ 2(L + 6) = 48
→ L + 6 = 24
→ L = 24 - 6
→ L = 18 cm (Ans.)

Given : A person bends a piece of wire to make a square with a side of 12 cm From the same piece of wire ,he makes a rectangle with a width of 6cm
To Find : length of the rectangle
Solution:
a piece of wire is used which reflect perimeter of square and rectangle
Hence here perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle
Perimeter of square = 4 x side
= 4 x 12
= 48 cm
Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( Length + width)
= 2( Length + 6)
Equate both
2( Length + 6) = 48
=> Length + 6 = 24
=> Length = 18
length of the rectangle = 18 cm
