The number of articles the person bought is 160.

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost price of 16 articles = Rs. 25

So, the C.P. of 1 article = \frac{25}{16} = Rs. 1.5625

The selling price of 5 articles = Rs. 12

So, the S.P. of 1 article = \frac{12}{5} = Rs. 2.4

∴ Profit earned from 1 article = Rs. 2.4 - Rs. 1.5625 = Rs. 0.8375

The overall profit earned by the person in the transaction is Rs. 134

Thus,

The number of articles that the person bought is,

= [Total profit earned] / [Profit earned from 1 article]

= \frac{134}{0.8375}

= 160

Answer:

16 articles =25₹

5 articles =12₹

Again, we have to equal both articles,

5×16 articles =25₹×5=>125₹

16×5 articles =12₹×16=>192₹

----------------- -----------------

160 articles = 317₹

so, tala articles is 160.
