Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

cost of 1 chair =Rs 12000/20=Rs 600

let the SP be x

profit =4x

profit =SP-CP

4x=20x-12000

4x-20x=-12000

-16x=-12000

x=750

so selling price =Rs 750

total profit=Rs 750*4= Rs 3000

Answer :-

Rs. 750

Solution :-

Cost Price of 20 chairs = Rs. 12000

Let the SP of each chair be ' x '

SP of 20 chairs = 20x

Given :-

Profit = Selling Price of 4 chairs

Profit = 4x

Also, Profit = SP - CP

==> 4x = 20x - 12000

==> 12000 = 20x - 4x

==> 12000 = 16x

==> 12000/16 = x

==> 750 = x

==> x = 750

Therefore the selling price of each chair is Rs. 750.
