The water capacity of the tank is 9630 litres.

Given data :

Tank's radius = 1.05 m

Tank's height = 3.5 m

Now,the height of the upper part's hemisphere will be same as the base part's radius.

So,the height of the remaining cylindrical part will be = (3.5-1.05) = 2.45 m

So,the volume of cylindrical part = π × (1.05)² × 2.45 = 22/7 × 1.05 × 1.05 × 2.45 = 8.48 m³

So, the volume of hemispherical part = 1/3 × π × (1.05)² = 1/3 × 22/7 × 1.05 × 1.05 = 1.15 m³

Total volume = (8.48+1.15) = 9.63 m³

Water capacity =

1 m³ = 1000 litres

9.63 m³ = 9.63×1000 = 9630 litres (answer)
