Hey!!

Step-by-step explanation:

Gain in 1 share = rs (45 - 40) = 5

Gain in 120 shares = rs 120× 5 = 600

gain % = 600/120× 100 = 12.5%

Solution :-

Given : Cost price of 1 share = Rs 40

Selling price of 1 share = Rs 45

Therefore, profit :

Profit = S.P - C.P

= Rs (45 - 40)

= Rs 5

Now,

Profit on 1 share = Rs 5

Profit on 120 shares = Rs (120 × 5) = Rs 600

Profit percent = (profit on 1 share × 100)/Cost price of 1 share %

= (5 × 100)/40 %

= 12.5 %

Hence,

Total Profit = Rs 600

Profit percent = 12.5 %
