  Near sightedness or Myopia or also called as short sightedness is a defect of eye where a person can see nearby things very clearly or we can say they appear normal than the far away objects.

  A concave lens is used to correct this problem the concave lens corrects the direction of rays before it reaches the convex part of the eye.
