A person can swim in still water with speed 4m/s. If the river is flowing with velocity 2m/s in what direction the person should swim so as to cross the river in shortest distance (i.e to reach a point just opposite or to cross the river straight) What is the resultant velocity of the person if the width of the river 1/2km , what is the time required by the person to cross the river ?
