This state of vision defect is called myopia
It can be rectified using concave lens
The far point X =-2m
F=-x= -2
Power of lens =1/(-2m)
=-0.5 D

eku2: the answer is -2m or -200cm..
eku2: how uh find -2
eku2: ??
Abdulsk1: That's 2m
eku2: -2m is the answer
Abdulsk1: Look carefully I did the same
eku2: sry
Abdulsk1: It's 2m actually but it opposite to incident ray so it becomes -2m
eku2: okk
eku2: thanx

The person is unable to see things beyond 2 m it means he is suffering from myopia or short sightedness.

in this defect the person can see near by objects clearly but cannot see distinct objects distinctly.

The nature of the lens is concave lens.

Object distance = -infinnity

image distance =- 2 m

focal length = ?

1/f=1/v-1/u

1/f=1/-200-1/infinity

1/f=1/-200

1/f = -200cm
the focal length of the lens is -2 m

Hemamalini15: Mark as brainliest pls
Hemamalini15: Thanks for making brainliest
eku2: ur wlcm
Hemamalini15: :)
eku2: its -2m
eku2: not 2m
Hemamalini15: hm i commited mistake in typing sorry and i reposted it
eku2: okk
Hemamalini15: hm
eku2: thanx
