A PERSON CLAPPED HIS HANDS NEAR A CLIFF AND HEARD THE ECHO AFTER 16 SEC THEN, HE MOVES AWAY FROM THE CLIFF CLAPPED AGAIN AND HEARD THE ECHO AFTER 25 SEC . WHAT IS THE DISTANCE OF CLIFF FROM THE PERSON IF THE SPEED OF SOUND V IS TAKEN AS 340 MS. ANYONE SOLVE IT IT'S TOO URGENT​

Answer:CASE 1 (16 sec)

Distance = velocity*time

Distance=340m/s*16s

Distance =5440m/2(as it is the time from the person to the cliff and again back to the person)

Therefore distance of case1 is 2,720m=2.72km

CASE 2(25s)

Distance=velocity*time

Distance=340m/s*25s

Distance is 8,500m/2(same explanation as above)

Therefore distance of case2 is 4,250m or 4.25km
