a person confessed his crime at the police station and the police locked him in jail for 6 months. Is this correct procedure?explain your answer.

Nothis is an unfair deed by police first police would have writren FIR then there would be an investigation for the whole case.Should be tried in court and if found guilty he (criminal) should be locked or charged as per crime this ia the correct procedure.

no this is the wrong procedure because first the police have to write the F.I.R then they have to start the investigation and afterwards victim have to go to the court after wards the police have to keep in jail
