Answer:

{ \large{ \pmb{ \sf{Given... }}}}

Distance Covered = 10km

Time Taken = 5minutes

{ \large{ \pmb{ \sf{Find... }}}}

Speed in m/s and km/hr

{ \large{ \pmb{ \sf{Solution...  }}}}

  • For finding the speed, we use a formula s = d/t. Where d is distance covered & t is time taken.

In m/s:

1km = 1000m

10km = 10000m

1minute = 60seconds

5 minutes = 300 seconds

{ \implies{ \sf{s =  \frac{10000}{300} }}} \\

 \implies{ \sf{s = 33.33m/s}}

In km/hr :

5 minutes = 1/12 hrs

{ \implies{ \sf{s =  \frac{10 \times 12}{1} }}} \\

 \implies{ \sf{s = 120km/hr}}

Therefore,

  • Speed of person is 33.33 m/s and 120km/hr
