Answer:

45*5/18=12.5m/s

12.5*40=500

500/30=16.66m/s

16.66*5/18=5km/hr

Answer:

If a person covers a distance in 40 minutes at 45 km/hr then his distance= speed * time= 45 * 40/60. (We divide 40 by 60 because we need to convert it to hours.)

45 * 40/60

= 45 * 2/3

= 15 * 2

= 30 Km

If the distance is 30 Km and the time needs to be 30 minutes, then speed = distance/time

30 / 30/60

Again, we are dividing 30 minutes by 60 because we nee to convert it to hours.

30/ 30/60

=30/ 1/2

=30*2

=60 Km/ hr

Thus, the speed at which he must run to reduce the time of the journey to 30 minutes, which is half an hour, is 60 Km/hr.
