A person crosses a 600 m long street in 5 minutes. what is his speed in km per hour?

Given,
distance = 600m = 0.6 km
time = 5 min = 5/60 hr = 1/12 hr
So, speed = D/T = 0.6*12 = 7.2 km/hr

                                               OR
d = 600m
t = 5 min= 300s
speed = 600/300 = 2m/s = 2 * 18/5 = 36/5 = 7.2 km/hr

5 minutes= 5/60 hr = 0.083 hour
So speed = distance/time = 0.6/0.083 = 7.2 km/hr
