Answer:

100

Step-by-step explanation:

If there are x children in a class,

after the first distribution each gets amount of - 250/x

After second distribution- 250/(x+25) + 50p= 250/(x+25) +1/2

Now lets solve it:

  • 250/x =250/(x+25) +1/2    ⇒multiply by 2 to get rid of 1/2
  • 2*250/x=2*250/(x+25)+1   ⇒cross-multiply denominators to clear fractions
  • 500(x+25)=500x+x(x+25)
  • x^2+25x-12500=0

Solving we get

  • x=100

So there are 100 children and each get Rs. 250/100= Rs. 2.5

Note. there is an error at the end where quaestion is to find the speed... hope it is what you need

Mark brainiest if helps, thanks
