Given:

Total Savings = 75000

Donation to charitable trust = 10%

Remaining Balance will be distributed equally to his three children.

To Find:

The amount donated and the amount received by each child.

Solution:

  • The Total Savings available to him : Rs. 75000
  • 10% of the above savings will be donated to Charity.

10% of 75000 = Rs. 7500

Remaining Balance:

= Total Savings - Donations

= 75000 - 7500

=  Rs. 67500

  • The above balance will be distributed to his three children equally.
  • So, the balance has to be divided by 3.

Remaining Balance ÷ 3

= 67500 ÷ 3

= Rs. 22500

Thus, The amount donated towards charity will be Rs. 7500 and his children  will get Rs. 22500 each.
