The first son recieves ₹ 140400

The second son recieves ₹ 280800

Given data :

• Total recieved money is ₹ 526500

• The donated amount of money to the charity is 20%

• Distribution ratio among the two sons 1:2

- At first we have to calculate the donated amount of money.

= 526500 × 20/100

= ₹ 105300

- So the remaining amount of money

= (Total money - Donated money)

= (526500-105300)

= ₹ 421200

• Let,the distributed amounts of money among two sons = x and 2x (assume x as a variable to calculate the distributed amount of money among two sons)

• So, by comparing the calculated amount of total distributed money and the given amount of total distributed money,we get the following equation :

x+2x = 421200

3x = 421200

x = 421200/3

x = 140400

So,the first son gets = (1×140400) = ₹ 140400 (answer)

The second son gets = (2×140400) = ₹ 280800 (answer)
