Given: A person donates 8 per cent of his total savings to the pms relief funds he divides the remaining money equally between his son and daughter if his total savings is ₹125000.

To find: We have to find the amount donated to the funds and shares of his son and daughter.

Solution:

The total savings of the person is 125000.

A person donates 8 per cent of his total savings to the pms relief funds.

So, the pms relief fund get-

125000 \times \frac{8}{100} = 10000

Now the remaining balance is-

125000 - 10000 = 11000

He divides the remaining money equally between his son and daughter.

So, his son and daughter get-

11000 \div 2 = 5500

He donated 10000 to relief fund and 5500 to his son and 5500 to his daughter.
